We Might Be In the NFL's Toughest Division

The NFC South got a whole lot tougher on draft weekend, and it had nothing to do with Cam Newton.

The NFC South was the best division in the NFL last year. The Falcons went 13-3. The Saints, who happened to be the defending champions, went 11-5. The Buccaneers went 10-6 and would have won weaker divisions like the NFC or AFC West. Those three teams finished 8th, 10th, and 12th in the league in Football Outsiders' DVOA ratings. They were all excellent teams, but each had one glaring hole.

Those holes have been filled.

Be interesting to see which team from our division falls off this year and which one rises to the top. NFCS is always ultra competitive but always with a new champion each year. Could you imagine if we were still in the NFCW (granted the Falcons and Saint would be there too, but still...)?

Yea NFC East are world conquerors despite the fact they only had one serious playoff contending team... I mean I see why the networks are on their jocks, all four teams are in big markets. All four teams have douchey but long standing fan bases. But all four teams really aren't what they used to be...

    • Honestly Bryce is a conundrum right now I'm not really sure what we should do with him but I am content on him being the quarterback number one going into next season. I think we should allow him the chance to play out the season to prove that he's the quarterback he can be going into next season.  I would not waste a high draft pick on a quarterback because I'm not sure anyone in this up and coming class is as good or has the ceiling that he had with that said I wouldn't throw away the future I would bring in someone like Justin Fields to have him looking over his shoulder and give us a plan b if everything doesn't go right on a one-year deal. I think the priority right now if tepper wants to make a big splash is find a way to get Travis Hunter that would be option 1AA because he helps with both sides of the field either way whatever you need defense or offense. Make that happen and then go mostly defense the rest of the way and we're cooking.
    • Move on from what?   Let me guess we gatekeeping on who we can and can't appreciate?   Next time I will just make a Kuechly appreciation thread lmao
