That is the most intense I've ever seen D-Wills face look. I'm not expecting this team to set the world on fire, but I am expecting to be entertained. Its a brand new team and there's a lot of excitement around this team, and excitement is what we've been lacking.

all I know is if teams try to stack the box against us again this year (which they will) whoever is playing qb better be able to throw a long-ball bomb to Gettis

Cam's playaction is excellent, no huggin. He's probably the best I've seen at it. Everytime time he does it he fugs up the defense and the cameraman. Once he can establish himself as a threat the recievers will feast.

Cam takes play-action to a whole new level with his athleticism... if things break down he can make a play with his feet, we've never had that before.

agreed on the play action. it's an art form. really fun to watch, if the cameramen don't bite on it the way defenses do. he sells it really well.

How is cam at the play action?

Check out this Top 10 plays of 2010 video. A good many of them came off of play action fakes. As a Gamecock it was fugggggging hard to have to watch #9 again... but obviously a great play by Newton, hell he was on fire in the SEC championship game.

That still reminds me he will have to learn to change his mechanics and use his legs in this throws. His delivery is all upper body.

Agreed. That's the one thing that stands about when you read the scouting reports. His footwork is described as "sloppy", and this no doubt effects his mechanics and accuracy. He was able to compensate for that in CFB with his athleticism, but he'll definitey have to tighten this up on the next level. Gruden hinted as much during the televised QB camp. If he puts forth the effort to improve his footwork (and I think Shula will be up to the task), his mechanics and accuracy will follow.
