South Carolina fans are the most delusional fans I have ever seen. And yes, it is South Carolina and not Carolina. I am not a tarhole fan, but there is only one state in the country that considers Carolina, South Carolina. South Carolina fans have short man syndrome.

I'm not mad, and I'm not particularly harping on non-alumni fans of UNC.

I lived in CA for 2 years, I saw only a few people with Panthers gear my whole time there, maybe 5 total. I talked to every one of them. Two of them happened to be cousins of Matt Moore, (saw them at a bar during the NE game in 2009) and the others were die-hard fans from NC.

I only saw 2 NC State fans. Talked to them both, both alumni, die-hard fans, with dirty old beat up NCSU hats or shirts.

And then there's the UNC fans. Hundreds of them, in flipping San Diego CA, with UNC gear on. Saw people all the time wearing national championship gear from the most recent appearances. Some fully decked out in a cap, jersey and light blue shoes. I talked to a handful, NOT ONE of them was from NC or had been there, they were just fans by some degree or another.

UNC's basketball success has bred a fanbase of Steeler-like proportions, yet non-Steeler like passion. They don't really care about the team, Chapel Hill, the players. They just like to wear national championship gear and call themselves fans.

You're KIDDING yourself when you compare State's following and UNC's. NC State's following is MUCH smaller than UNC's. Quite obviously because we haven't had the type of national success in any sport UNC has. But hot damn, we are passionate and loyal as poo. So honestly, I couldn't care less about your perception of either fan base, I graduated from NCSU and I have met hundreds of State fans and all of them are very loyal and passionate.

When it comes to fans, NC State wins hand down.

Youve confused yourself. Funny I just moved from a complex directly across the street from the RBC center and when theres a football game the poo is jam packed, but when theres a b-ball game I can have a picnic in the middle of the street. Ive been to UNC football and B-ball games and we are way deeper than NCstate.

I know you guys are passionate but cmon. UNC>Everybody else. I was born in NC and moved around and came back to NC. I dont give poo what they do Cali at least they recognize the truth. I also believe one of the guys that said he was Matt Moore's cousin is a member of the huddle and has posted here from time to time

Ha ha good one. Point well taken. I live in SC and around here USC football is all you hear about. Gets soooo old after a while so please excuse my heated post. I actually pull for USC as long as they aren't playing my Pirates. USC fans around here are ridiculous though....
