I need to find my work history for the last 15 years including dates and I don't have any record of it.

Any ideas on where I could get such information?

Unless you can get the IRS to give you their tax records...

get the hire date for your current job and work backwards. be sure to keep record of it this time. you'll certainly have to guess, but many employers are looking for the year, and not much else.

Shouldn't the SSA have records? What about tax returns? W-2s? 10-99s?

umm..yeah.. unless you have an accountant who knows someone who semi-matters I wouldn't bet on getting any info.

Likely scenario is you'll call and get some bean counter who isn't authorized to do anything. Then you'll ask to be transferred to someone who can help you...because said bean counter is a govt employee he/she doesn't have to give a poo and they won't.

Your best bet is to follow the previous instructions and guess on anything more than 2-3 years ago.
