Joseph Person tweets that Clausen might be traded this season

I'd rather bring Delhomme back to tutor Cam and show him how to carry himself on and off the field. If McNabb had half the heart Delhomme had he would have won a SB.

You know, the more I think about Delhomme, the better I like the idea.

Jake knows he is not going to be a starter in the league at this point in his career. Who better to join Shula on the sidelines to coach him in-game? Shula can take primary responsibility for developing footwork and mechanics, understanding routes, etc. Jake could help Cam learn to break down tape, to read defenses as the game is progressing etc. Most of all, he could coach him on the emotional element of the game. In a pinch, he could play, but only as the 3rd option.

Just might be the perfect solution.

Charlie Weis still has connections in this league. I wouldn't be surprised if he was still behind Jimmy and has a team or two trying to get him. A good percentage of this form thinks Clausen can play.

Most agree that we will bring in a Vet to at minimum compete for the starting postion and to mentor Newton. If we keep Moore there is NO WAY we keep 4 QB's on the roster.

We won't truly know until they decide to come to agreement and play football.

i dont know about Weis helping Clausen, but i think QB needy teams will look into him, mainly as a QB of the future and likely wont give him the keys too soon, i am thinking Seattle because if they re-sign Hasselbeck to a short term deal, they can trade for Jimmy, have him learn and then take over when Hasselbeck is gone, plus he has Tate there and Carroll wanted him at USC.

As for the vet. signing in free agency, i dont know if they do that or not, i doubt many will want to come in and basically backup. i see Hasselbeck being a Seahawk or Titan (but i also could see Collins re-sign with the Titans). Bulger or McNabb as a Cardinal or Kolb, McNabb as a Viking. IF they do sign a vet. i think it's Volek. Anyway, as of now, i see him likely being signed, Moore will likely stay under a one year tender and Pike will be a practice squad player and Clausen will be traded.
