Which means that he doesn't think that Clausen will be a panther after the trade deadline. I think it's pretty obvious, i don't know how you could read that any other way.

WTF would we get for him? Not gonna happen IMO.

1. It would give Clausen a chance (this isn't the offense he will have a chance in and is basically a wasted year). He is a WC QB without a doubt.

2. It would clear a roster spot to be filled by someone who fits a better role on the QB depth chart AND fits what Chud does.

It ain't about what you can get for Clausen which is little if anything.....it is about what is best for both parties.
