Does Newton get it?

It nakes total sense to be critical of Newton. If he fails you get to collectively tell everyone how right you are. If he succeeds you can say that he obviously listened to your cautionary information and made the adjustments you suggested. You win either way.:D

TheBirdmanSN is the most logical poster in the history of the Huddle.TheRealDeal could learn a lot from his great leadership.

Thanks man!

This is what I call comedy, well played BB, well played.

if it had been luck they'd have crowned him already. racists.

i dont even want to go here. i dont like people saying racism where there is none.

The only person on that panel that would know a simple offense from their own asshole is Golic and that debatable.

Bradford's offense was the spread, was it super complicated ?

Teebow's offese was the spread, was it super complicated ?

Cam has the tools, if he puts in the work he will be fine.

Bradford's spread didnt have Bradford running the ball 12 or more times in a single game so i can't put him in the same argument as Newton. Now i would compare The Golden Calf of Bristol and Newton more because they are similar with styles and offenses, but it's not like The Golden Calf of Bristol lit the world on fire and won 10 games. Newton will be ok in time, but i dont see instant results like some think

I think The Golden Calf of Bristol really is the closest comparison there is to Cam, but The Golden Calf of Bristol wasn't anywhere CLOSE to as pro-ready as Cam is as far as mechanics go. The Golden Calf of Bristol's whole throwing motion was effed, Cam's throwing motion is good. The only mechanical aspect he really has to work on is footwork, he's a little lazy in his drop back. But he's so athletic, I'm sure that will be easy to fix. Cam > The Golden Calf of Bristol in every way except risk of character issues, and the shades of character issues with Cam are so far in the past they're becoming less and less relevant every day. I'm not saying Cam is ready to go win us 19 games for us in year 1, but he's closer to ready than The Golden Calf of Bristol was by a long shot (hence being drafted 20something spots higher).

'He doesn't get it...' seems like a vague comment that people use when they dislike somebody but don't actually have a reason to dislike them.

In this example I don't really know what 'it' is. Maybe I'm an idiot but wasn't he asked about the simple offense he ran at Auburn so he corrected the interviewer by telling him that it wasn't a simple offense? Whats wrong with that?

I think the racism blatantly demonstrated on this board day in and day out is hilarious and I commend the moderators for not trying to snuff out what is obviously a big part of every conversation for some posters.

I think everyone knows who the spineless racists on this board are and again I commend the mods for letting them make complete fools of themselves instead of stamping out all "suspect" posts.

Enjoy the set back as well because over the next 5 years we will be calling for Hunrey and the whole coaching staffs head. They reached man. Plain an simple. They wanted to sell tickets, but... (yes there is always a but) if they wanted a true QB they would have gotten one with the mechanics, brains, and character. Great QBs usually have all three before they get to this stage. He has 0 of those qualities.

They reached but had no choice. They would have traded out of that pick if given the opportunity every day of the week and twice on Sunday but given that was never an option they met and met and met with the kid. Placed "blessings from the king" in the media, and scratched and clawed in the later rounds to make up for it.

All the while hoping the kid can prove something if and whenever he gets a chance.

It is ALL on him now. He has a playbook...good luck Cameron.
