Auburn Playbook

Auburn doesn't have 1 play called '36'. They have Trips right 36, or Spread Rt 36, etc. Makes me wonder if Cam has trouble remember the names of plays, or if he will have trouble learning our playbook.

Every college has a different system for calling plays. Just imagine if a big name QB ever comes out of Oregon again.

This.

Notice how only one route changes per play ?

It is my understanding that all the WR spots have that in the NFL.

That is why you see passes to no where sometimes. The WR or the QB didn't read correctly.

Well yes and no. The thing is if you can read one option route then you should be able to read mutiple. You have to have a understanding of coverages to be able to do it right.

Say if you were running Trips right 36. If your read is man then your WR route would be a slant route. If its zone it would be a the post route. If you understand that you should understand multiple routes of the same nature. Well if your smart and if you have made it to the NFL you should be. Zone blitzing and combination coverage make this more complex but thats the basic.

Is there anyone on here that couldn't walk through each of those plays and tell you what the progression should be, what coverages the plays should be run against and what the play is trying to accomplish?

Please break them down for us Sir since some of us folks are not so great at reading plays.

Ha, I'm praying Darron Thomas has a phenomenal year just so he can go on Gruden's show. Jeez, people thought "36" was bad, what do you think they would say with "Burger King"
