I just got back from my first cruise

Everything is expensive. Especially of you're a drinker. The food is free though ,that's the only thing free though. I do love me some cruises asong as it is affordable.

I don't know how you Canadians do things, but here in the US, if your mom has loose morals it doesn't mean you go along for the ride.

They had some decent prices on duty free alcohol, but you couldn't have it until the morning you returned.

Words to the wise...

They will let you bring a 6 or 12 pack of a non-alcohol beverage. So get a 6pack of Sprite bottles and replace with run/vodka. The key is to drain out all of the soda, they superglue the cap back on.

It was an all you can eat. We went from Jacksonville to Key West to Nassau. It was my first time to the Caribbean and it lives up to the hype. I also got a chance to sit on the beach with a beer and a Cuban cigar. It was everything I had hoped it would be.

Went on Carnival with my wife and daughter. It was a 5 day trip with stops in Key West and Nassau. I think we dropped about $2000 total.

Yes, we had an ocean veiw cabin. If you are trying to save on the trip, inner cabins are cheaper.

No it's not like flying. You get your own room. If we had wanted we could have put the kid in her own room but that would have been more expensive.

totally serious question. I know people who have gone on cruises and if you don't fill the room, they fit someone in there with you.
