I need some computer help

How do I convert a video recorded on a phone to a format that the computer can play?

I e-mailed the video from my phone to my computer and saved it. When I click on the video it says it's not supported or something like that. It's in 3gp format whatever that is. :confused:

I thought about putting this in the nerdvanna section but figured I might get more responses here. If the mods think it needs to be moved I understand.

VLC will play it.

I assure you, it's a safe software. We even use this on the Macs at our office.

How does it work? Do I just open the video file with that program, or is there some sort of conversion process I need to do?

Yer welcome. For the record, VLC will play just about any video file. If you ever have similar problems, try opening it in that.

You could also install the Combined Community Codec Pack and then Windows Media Player will play it.
