Funny how they didnt show what happened to Menard. Didnt like that at all.

I was sitting at the entrance to turn one and saw him about a second after he spun. His car never stalled and once he finished sliding in the grss he righted the car forward and touched the gas for a second then abruptly stopped. The yellow came out almost immediately after that. He then took off normally. Couldn't look more suspicious if he tried to.

Everybody in the stands around me was yelling the obvious that he did it to get the 29 on fresh tires so he could dominate Gordan in the final laps. Don't know how much they talked about it on TV but the 29 was the fastest car on the track for the first 1-4 laps, then the 99 would dial in and slowly be as good or better. The 24 looked piss poor on the 1st 10-15 laps under new tires but was a beast on worn tires.

This stuff about teammates sneaking ways to help each other to these extremes is nothing new to NASCAR. I remember it happening a lot back in the mid to late 90's.

Nahhh Menard sucks anyway you slice it.

If it wasn't for the fact that he provides his own sponser it's doubtful he'd even have a ride.

Could have been "team orders" but there was no real advantage to Harvick, it's not like he was on the bubble. On top of that, you can't tell me that HMS has never done something similar.

But it did help Harvick. He was able to get extra points for the chase with the win. It happens all the time with blocking which I have no problem with but to spin out on purpose I do. Wont effect any points but hopefully Nascar will be more prudent on watching for it.
