Well I was going to post an update of how well (and overcrowded) my garden was doing. Mother nature had different plans and decided to stomp on my garden with a hail storm.

No, it's not too late, I'm getting ready to plant 3. Blueberries supposedly produce better if they are cross pollinated, you'll need more than one from different varieties. I've heard you should pick off any flowers or berries prior to planting because it causes stress. They also can get to be about 6'x8' or larger but can tolerate overcrowding.

It's not so much a factor of cross-pollination. Rather, you have to have a male and Fe,ale plant to produce fruit. That's why nurseries recommend buying multiple plants (since you can't look up the plant's skirt to determine male or female).playing the odds, you're bound to have at least 1 of each with multiple plants.

Not saying you don't speek the troof but I've never heard of blueberry bushes being male or female. From what I have always known and have been taught, Blueberry flowers contain both male and female parts but some blueberry varieties aren't self pollinating which is why it's important to have more than one variety.

I will do some research on this.

I have cayenne peppers coming out of my ears. Here some of mine I took 2 days ago.

You are trying to fit too much into a 15 x 15 garden- concentrate aon 3 or 4 vegetables that you really like- dont put perenial bushes or hops in your limited space- put them out in your landscape.
