Glad to hear the good news. Here's hoping for less frustration and better times from here on out.

Thanks....today he turned 18, so at the very least we managed to get through the last remaining months of me and his mother being legally responsible for any dumb poo he might have done. It is good to have him home and even better that she dumped him. He can do much better, especially as we've come to see the kind of person she is over the course of a year.

That's a mouthful right there...and I had a similar experience that ended with me in the hospital for a week. At least he's handled things going south a whole lot better than I did.

AND she's a freak too....he left his cellphone in my office a couple weeks ago so I decided to exercise my parental right to snoop (we provide and pay for the phone). Hoping he's smart enough to leave it be....I noticed on my laptop the other day that he was looking at her myspace page and he also signed up for a facebook account, probably to try and see what she's up to. The wife is keeping an eye on his cell phone log to make sure he isn't trying to contact her too.
