Terrell McClain/Sione Fua

I'm one of the few that believe Landri can be a starter for us, especially if Rivera's new scheme calls for gap penetrating DTs. Landri isn't much of a run stuffer, but he lived in the backfield last year. He even has a stat to back it up, he led the league in defensive stops for a loss (0 or negative yards). That's pretty damned impressive...

I am a big Landri fan, but do not think he is a starter. He reminds me a lot of Jordan Carstens and Shane Burton. They were great players to have on the team, but not to start. I believe McClian and yes Barry Cofield will be our starting DTs next year with Landri rotating in on passing downs and Fua in rushing situations.

I would have rathered taken Jurrell Casey at 65, but I am glad we went DT-DT today.

I did too, but McClain has better upside. The coaches at the Senior Bowl were fussing over him, talking about his upside and coachability.

I too want Boling--can play RT or G.

I'm not satisfied with what we have now. Plug in a top FA and have Landri as 4th. Let Neblett/Johnson/Hayden battle it out for 5th.

Neblett played Pouncey tough as the NT vs. Pittsburgh in December, and he and Fua will anchor at Nose next season in my opinion. I am not sure about this defense and responsibilites, but McClain and Landri will play the three technique.

I think we need a veteran too, but I would say Hayden, Irvin, and Johnson are very close to unemployment.

I agree, MHS.

Rayzor, I definitely let out a "fug" that my kids heard when NYJ took Ellis 3 picks before us...for the last 5 or 6 picks of the 2nd round I'm like "ok, the only team that might take Ellis now is NYJ. As long as they pass on him he's as good as ours..."

Rivera has mentioned Ed Johnson a lot i think he might have a shot as long as he works for it.
