I don't recall Kurt Warner cheating on tests, stealing laptops or having his dad ask for money for his services on a college football team.

How in the hell would any of us know if he did? Nobody cared about Kurt Warner enough to do any research on him back then.

I am not even wasting my time debating his character with haters anymore for one we did the background check and still took him number 1. Going in circles debating sh1t that happened 3 years ago. Buying a stolen lap top and dealing with something he wasn't even found guilty of that's a large scale collegiate issue not just with Cam Newton/Patrick Peterson.

Sad but true that people will continue to question if it's a sincere change or not. Personally I wont question it after the background check was done and they said how if he was selected it would be strictly a football decision. This all came from Sal Pal straight from Hurney or Coach Rivera can't remember which. If he's giving a Blank Slate don't raise the issue of his past.

So we are supposed to assume Kurt Warner is guilty of things Cam Newton has been proven guilty of because he wasn't as popular at the time so no one would care if he had done these things?

No offense, but this is completely absurd.

The bigger problem for me is his dishonesty about his problems. I cannot find a quote of him confirming he cheated on tests or that he stole a UF student's laptop. He doesn't confirm or deny such things and avoids it.

Even at the time of stealing the UF Student's laptop he tried to get rid of the evidence while getting tips from a lawyer who helps UF players... He also attributed his leaving UF to The Golden Calf of Bristol returning when in fact he was facing suspension for cheating...

He seems like a coward to me. Says all the right things and cares more about his public image than setting past wrongs right.
