You know, I wasn't and still am not the biggest Cam supporter. But he's our guy now and I'm getting more psyched about it.

But holy poo the backlash on this guy has been immense. Kurt Warner has been especially dickish about Cam. I'm amazed. The supporters have definitely been outnumbered by the haters. This is seriously ridiculous.

Ok in all fairness, Cam cannot say that the first thing he is going to do now that he is drafted is go on vacation. After all the doubters, that was the worst possible thing he could have said. Frankly it made me nervous. Even our 3rd round DT McClain had a better answer and said he just wanted to get right to work and be the best he can be.

Also we as fans have to have thicker skin. Wow I bet we are the first fan base to have our first overall pick criticized.... (Sarcasm) Just deal with it and hope Newton proves them wrong.

I dont think Warner has personal beef with Newton, or that he is a racist or anything. But think about it. Cam is a completely different kind of QB in the league with a completely different path to how he got here. Nobody knows how Cam is going to do in the NFL. Some people are more optimistic than others. Obvious Warner isnt one of those.

The main message I have in this post is "WHO CARES WHAT SOMEONE SAYS ABOUT CAM?"

I didn't want Cam, I still think it's a mistake and will hurt us. However, he's now a Panther and has 100% of my support; as such I hope he proves me and all doubters and critics wrong.
