Stay is granted

It's an "administrative stay" so the 8th circuit court has a chance to review the merits of the owners request for a full stay without the NFL having to do harm to itself in the meantime.

The players were expecting this, it doesn't mean they will get the actual stay.

Don't bring any clarity to this situation please. It's more than some can handle.

Hope it is permanent until a CBA is done. While it sucks in the short time we need a rookie scale this season. I dont want the Panthers paying Cam 65 million over his contract and then the rookie scale come into effect next year. That would hurt the Panthers in a big way.

It's probably going to be really hard to put a rookie wage cap on this draft since it is happening before a CBA was agreed upon.

The draft was bargained under the old CBA. Rookie payscale for this year would be under the new CBA if the stay is in effect. If it is reversed they would use the rules from last year.
