We do not need to be mortgaging our future again...

another factor to remember is that we have potentially 4 QB's that 1 or 2 of which might clear waivers and if the run on qb's last night shows anything they could be ammunition to get back in next year.

I am not a huge fan of first rounders anyway. So this is kind of steering my side of the debate as well.

I mean if Austin was worth a 1st rounder he would be off the board anyways and this debate would be null.

this is not always true... there was SO MUCH talent on DL this year, there are players being picked in the 2nd and 3rd that likely woulda gone 1st in most other years...

but I wouldn't want to trade our first next year for him.

I bet they tried to trade our 2nd next year and 3rd this year though to get back up.

Unless they have done similar research on him and invited him down several times like Cam I doubt this is even a possibility anyway.

Looking at how high our next years 1st could possibly be and the fact that we have two FA periods between now and then makes me scared as hell to think we get in a spot nobody wants next year like this year.

Give it up now and get a beast DT that can turn our ends and LB's loose..where our strength are.

This is all fun to speculate about..good thread, good convo guys...gotta check out for now cheers
