Possiblity of Newton Starting

Fair or not, with the recent microwave culture in the nfl, especially with QB's, he'll start.

Starting from game 1, not 100 % right now on that. Will he play from game 1 on, yes he will. If they have to, they will get him set up in a package or a set of packages that takes advantage of his skill set and play him from game 1. As the season progresses he'll slowly become the starter.

It's either that or he starts right away and unless he has an amazing camp I don't see that happening.

I voted for 26%-50% for poops and giggles, but there are so many variables that it's difficult to really predict.

The biggest variable is that the Panthers may still sign a veteran QB of one variety or another. If they ****** up a McNabb, Palmer, or similar, the likelihood decreases dramatically. Other pickups raises the percentage.

But if the Panthers go into the 2011 season with only the quarterbacks they currently have contracts with, I feel like we're definitely going to see him starting at some point, either due to injuries or poor play.

Despite the steep learning curve, Rivera didn't rule out the possibility that Newton could play a significant role as a rookie.

"He'll have an opportunity to play, most definitely. Everybody has an opportunity to play," Rivera said. "Cam will play when Cam gets himself ready to play.

I think that cam newton was a good pick i think we are moving in the right direction but i think the veteran we bring in to teach him will be the key to Our success so Its pending right now
