Cam Newton was an excellent pick for the Panthers. I guarantee you that he's going to work his butt off to become a star in the NFL. He loves those accolades from the commentators and the fans so he's going to work hard to make sure the Panthers become playoff contenders for years to come.

Man, I hope the rest of the draft for the Panthers is excellent. I want to see the Panthers become a dominating team and get a Super Bowl in the next year or so.

He wasn't my first choice, but I'm behind him 100%. I know the ceiling is high if he learns the playbook and I trust the FO. I would have rather him balled his eyes out like Von Miller, but what are you going to do?

Instead of #2 (that Jimmy Clausen wore last year), I hope that Cam wears the classic number that QBs in the NFL have worn .... #12. Maybe he can negotiate if another player already has that number ... David Gettis.

Not trolling at all. Cam Newton is terrible and he got bailed out because he could run against the smaller defenses when he couldn't read it properly. In the NFL if he screws up at reading the defense and tries to do that, he'll get the hit stick put on him by Ray Lewis or Patrick Willis.

Like I said.... Would have gone with either Tolzien or Dalton. These are high IQ guys who will be masters at reading NFL defenses.
