I have a hard time supporting Newton because of his criminal history (steals laptops), lack of respect for the college game (daddy, get me some money from the school), overall arrogance (need i even go into detail?) and his lack of intelligence (wonderlic test).

On top of all that he doesn't even impress me much as a QB. I don't believe his game will work in the NFL.

This is probably the most disappointed I've ever felt as a Panthers fan.

I'm not the only one that realizes the real potential for a QB is between the ears right? The greats are the ones that can read defenses and be a step ahead. I'm dumbfounded by the people that are excited about the athletic potential for a position where it matters the least. Not to mention that athletic potential is average compared to NFL defenders. He's going to be slower than at least half the defenders on the field a lot of the time. He has more to learn about running an NFL offense than any other QB in this draft. Since when do you use the #1 pick on a guy that has so much to learn before he should even see the field?
