Round 1 Panthers Select: Cam Newton QB

If we got Marvin Austin I would be giddy. I am a UNC fan and he would be a really big time steal in the second round. I am truly biased on this one but he is another guy who is misunderstood. A really good kid that made some bad decisions. He isn't a criminal though. And some of the stuff he got in trouble for wasn't entirely his fault. Some of it was and some of it was innocent in nature but a major violation by the rule book.

He was rated ahead of Dareus this time last year by Mel Kiper Jr.

I had to go there when the board crashed after the Newton pick and omg the stupidity...there were many declaring they were going to cheer for another team...there were so many idiotic posts...it made this place look very tame.

Espn forums were just as bad.

Man, Rivera and Hurney sure sound excited about Cam Newton. They were saying everything us Cam supporters have been saying the whole time. Rivera said alot of what he did in college had something to with it;) He mentioned the junior college championship and the NC and said he alot of intangibles.:thumbsup:
