Drafting an "NFL ready QB" Vs one that "Needs work"....

You do realize that IF he is picked #1, doesn't mean he is worth the #1 overall pick right?

Or does your brain not compute things like that?

Did you really just type this?

If he's picked #1, the judgement of if he was "worth it" will continue until he starts bringing in wins, or he completely busts.

But the fact remains, AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME... if he goes #1, he was obviously worth it.

A QB taken at the #1 pick shouldnt need all this work. He should need some tweaking and learning the playbook. Cam is a late first round pick that will get drafted #1 because Hurney is afraid to pass on him.

Or maybe Hurney has done a million times more homework than any of us, met him in person, vetted him extensively, and realizes the negative hype is just that... hype... and beleives he really is worth #1.

Newton is a Super project. Im not talking about character issues or anything off the field.

If you're implying he will take MORE time to transition to the pros than most QBs coming out of college, then you are repeating what nay-sayers and haters have been telling you... or you're talking out your ass.

No one knows how much or less Newton will be a project. Hell, he has ALREADY been working with a pro QB instructor for months. If he's putting in the work (which he obviously is), and has the talent, he might just come out on day one and kick ass.

Calling him a "Super Project" is about as subjective and pointless a label to put on him as saying he's a "Thief" or a "Liar".

Like all the homework he did on Clausen. Or all the homework that was done on Russell, or the homework that was done on Tom brady.

More like all the homework that was done on Steve Smith, or all the homework that was done on DeAngleo Williams, or all the homework that was done on Jonathan Stewart... or all the homework that was done on any number of good picks or free agency aquisitions which paid off for this franchise.

That pro QB instructor also gave us Hunter Cantwell.

He is obviously a footwork genius

Seems Big Ben has had no problems leading his team to the Super Bowl a couple times and winning it once.

He's also worked with Rivers I believe.

But keep hating... it's almost amusing at this point.

We didn't do as much homework on Clausen as we should have bc we didn't think we had a shot at him.

Russell was the right pick. Russell screwed Russell, he shoulda been a star.

Tom Brady is an exception to the rule.
