huh?!? there's only 1 rd tonight...if smith wants out and we have already told him we will trade him...why wouldn't we try to get a 2nd or 3rd if we can indeed trade players?

I think it depends on if we draft a speedy slot WR, so that when we go 3+ we have a guy who can win in space "ala Jacoby Ford", not to mention just a depth stand-point.

I personally do not think the value we could get for Smith will be worth giving up what he's still capable of producing. He's under contract for two more years, I say you ride it out and let Rivera assert himself as the clear-cut voice of the team. I mean Moss only garnered a 4th rounder when he was traded, what do you expect to get for Smith...not much.
