Curve ball

yeah, and that had nothing to do Chris Johnson pulling a 2008 DeAngleo Williams and flat out going off late that season. When don't you look up CJ's stats the 2nd half of that year.

OK, what does that have to do with VY? Kerry Collins blow nuts and went 0-8 and had CJ the entire time. Put in VY, still had CJ behind him and... 8-0

like I said, look at Williams stats the first 8 vs. last 8 in 2008......CJ did the exact same thing. VY did little but hand the ball of the CJ or dink it to him. CJ was a one man wrecking crew.....VY was crazy before that and after.

It is called a RB beasting....nothing more.

If the front office knows Smith is gone I think it is a necessary pick. I like LaFell and Gettis a lot, but I don't think either can be a #1. Armanti Edwards, well, I save my judgement for another year or two

Agreed completely.

I'm still excited to see what Armanti can do. I'm just disappointed we gave up this years second for him.

yeah, VY will be released so we don't have to give up any draft picks. Of course you will have to pay the man to play, all players must be paid... dee-dee-dee

I'm sorry. I think you mentioned $50 Million being the comparitive problem with Cam. Who's to say Young won't try and demand that much over a long contract? Who's to say we'll even pay Newton that much (there are no rookie wage scales in effect without a CBA).

And to add to that... I don't think Gettis or Lafell would've gotten much playing time for other teams.

Hopefully they step it up big time. After all, they were just rookies.

    • For the silly people that worship her it will be that.  The Coleman 'legend' thing, they did that with another fairly average player that was here and I sort of mocked or questioned the 'legend' status. Instantly caught crap for insulting someone's favorite Panther. So okay, Kurt Coleman is a Legend.
    • You allow him to compete--you all are talking as if I am proposing making him the starter. Give him a new coach, new weapons, good OL, etc. and see what happens. You are saying, "Well Damn.  It did not work for 3 guys..."  Right now, our C is injured, we lost our top 2 WRs.  Better question:  If you need a QB, Why would you not take a chance on bringing in a QB who was a former first rounder, a good arm, intelligence, mobility, youth, etc.  and see how he does out of NY--with a better OL, better running game, better receivers.  I am not saying give him a 10-year contract, I am saying give him a chance. You act like there is no improvement on offense here--it was a 2 year process, and next year is year 2.  To me, how can you sit there with Bryce and an opportunity to sign a veteran QB on the cheap comes available and you say--"Not us. We're good.  We are waiting for Patrick Mahommes."  Jone's problem is obviously mental--and he has little support.  Why is this so frigging hard to comprehend.  It is called "bottom fishing" and it is better than sitting in the boat.
    • I think we're going to fall from behind quite early and be forced to abandon the run game.  3 rushes -2 yards 1 catch -10 yards
