Build a Cam Newton friendly offense

I am figuring my wishes will not be granted tonight, and that the whole of the panthers organization except some dude from the IT department will be able to turn in a card so we get a true #1 pick instead of Cam Newton. I am sorry if you like Newton, and he had some kind of freak accident season to go 14-0 and win a title. Yet is it me or is this guy not Akili Smith 2.0 with a bigger ego and worse distractions. I guess as the original poster said we will go to a one read spread offense that is built so Cam can function in the NFL. This guy has mechanic issues, foot work issues, and the wrong mind set compared to most successful QB's in the NFL. I hope if they do take this guy that 15 years from now I can come back to this board and eat my crow.

If Cam is drafted, I wonder if he would actually start this next year? Most of the time, its better to let a veteran start, while the new guy sits on the bench and learns. Unfortunately, we don't have much in the way of veteran experience.

He'll start, and he will be better in every conceivable statistical category than Clausen was last year. I have no doubt.

I almost want to bet you on that but it would require me to somewhat believe Clausen isn't absolutely terrible.

It's very possible if he has to play that he struggles more than Clausen did.

Not a gimmick offense....which is exactly the offense that would play to Cam's strengths.

If Cam plays this season, he very well may set the interception record for a season.

Jets have done well with an offense built for Sanchez.
