The Panthers Cant take Newton

The notion that QB's get paid more than other players is ridiculas? Thats news to me.

No, the notion that Cam is the only player who may hold out for more money is ridiculous. Peterson and Dareous are just as likely to hold out even if they are taken later than Cam. Every last one of these guys want the best deal possible, regardless of who their agent is. In fact, the agent works for them so it's not even his decision.

It's not just my opinion...players of all positions hold out every year, and they don't have to be #1 overall to do it. As for agents...look at the Panthers record of dealing with Rosenhous. They haven't had problems with him because the Panthers players he represents have been very reasonable.

Cam THREW for 30 tds and ran for 20.. AND the kid can throw it 50 yards sideline to sideline... I will take that.

And the reason I made that statement is because The Golden Calf of Bristol in 1 less game than Cam Threw for 32 Td's, ran for 23 TD's.... and averaged more yards per game.

Both with stron will and desires to win.... Not great Accuracy, and learning to do at the next level.... That's why I said sounds like The Golden Calf of Bristol... guess he should've been #1 overall... Stat wise since that's what you are basing opinions on.

No offense, but f*ck those "experts". The only "experts" that matter are the ones in our front office and the scouts that work for our team. Whichever player we select, I'm down with, because I know our experts have done their research, and have dubbed them worthy.

Man, you really missed the point of my comment.

I was not debating whether or not he was the right pick. I was saying that IF you make the wrong pick for a QB at #1, you set your franchise back 6-8 years.

With the amount of money you will invest in him, you MUST give him 3-4 years to prove that he is a bust. During that time, you will suck and will continue to pass on top QB's in the following drafts.

Given the crop of QB's that are coming out next year, the schedule we have, the likelihood that we will be drafting Top 5 next season.....I still think the best short and long term decision is to draft PP or Dareus this year and get your QB of the future next year.

Not a bad idea, Moore is more experienced than anyone we will have after tonight at QB.

But M. Moore is not God, sorry.

Matt Moore is coming off an injury to his throwing arm, a bad season, and at best has been a pretty average QB.

that seems like a pretty big gamble
