If the lockout is lifted by the judge, Manning a Free agent

I assume none of the "potential UFA" Panthers signed their tenders did they?

(the ones who were supposed to be unrestriced, but would be restricted by 2010 rules)

The only one I know of signing their tender was Kalil and that was a franshise tag tender so that was probably smart on his part. Guys like Moore, Anderson and Marshall would be free to go whereever.

And by the way, I love how so many people on this site make statements like they are known facts. I remember a time back in 2009 when I was absolutely mocked for suggesting that Peppers wouldn't be back with the Panthers and people said very similar remarks like "Why would he go anywhere else he has it made in Charlotte?"

What would be hilarious is if the Colts withdraw the tender and NO BODY hired him!

In fact it would be hilarious if no FA's were signed and all the teams filled their roster openings with un drafted walk ons at bargain basement prices.... and as players currently under contract finished - hire replacements for them too.

You know - one way around the CBA and all of this crap is for the individual owners to just hire new players at league minimum contracts - it would hurt for a while, but it would drive the players to the bargaining table. Judge lifted the lock out - but no judge can force an employer to hire a specific person. So the answer becomes.... hire new players to low contracts.

I will say this, Peyton Manning on the market isn't like having other star players on the market. By this I mean Manning could go to any team and make it a contender. Many people say Asomugha wouldn't want to come here because we are not contenders. Yet Manning is a QB, and his position have a bigger impact on teams.

So Manning could go to any team, and that team will be a contender.

The courts will not allow the NFL to revert to 2010 rules. They will force the NFL to completely open up the market. Players that already signed their contracts from being tagged will have to stay with the team because of the contract but a player like Manning that never signed will be free to go wherever.

I can't believe more fans on this site really don't care about what is happening, or many of you simply won't accept the fact it is happening. Not sure which is more true...

i dont know man after reading what could happen to the players on the open market with no union, i really think they are trying to force the NFL back to the bargaining table and fug them sideways..the players have planned this far they have to know they stand to lose everything too
