I wonder if they have peppers on suicide watch tonight...

Pep is in London. He's angry because his strategy backfired. He pissed off the team and the FO, completely destroyed his own prospects and the Panthers' interest by releasing a list of four teams, and now he realizes that he and his buddy Carey are morons.

Right now there are four teams (three of which we know are Dallas, Washington, and Philadelphia) that Peppers has publicly stated he wants to play for. Unless they get an amazing deal they can't refuse, or get the standard two first rounders, the Panthers will not trade him there. They hold the cards at the moment. The Panthers will get offers from other teams, not on Peppers list, and Pep will have to decide "Do I go play somewhere else that I don't really want to be, or do I stay in Carolina, accept the franchise salary, live a miserable life for the next year and get berated by fans every day of the week?"

In a battle for leverage that is based on one's understanding of market conditions and business acumen, who would you take:

Julius Peppers and Carl Carey, OR

The Big Cat and the entire Panthers front office...

Seriously, those two are morons for thinking they could win this battle.
