I am going to pray tonite real hard! going up to the roof so that it can be a little closer. I don't want Panthers to pick a big bust in Camp "Cam Newton" We want change , Not this player please. "Cam" says he feels like a pistol and that all the negative talk is his bullets(ammunition) for his swagger (Ego). LMAO , this is who we all want running our team , offense , representing the city of charlotte , the fans, I came away unimpress in every single situation he's trying to prove his worth a first overall. Only after a very short decent college season. Cam emerges as this saver or this unstoppable force "All of that he is not"

Is based on fact not on hype. Can he play QB, how long has his name being around football. Swagger is going to win him the superbowl on his first season.

Official Bio

Strengths:

• Prototypical height and great bulk w/ a large frame

• Outstanding natural athleticism and is very smooth

• Excellent arm strength and can make all the throws

• Displays a nice throwing motion and quick delivery

Extremely elusive and will make plays with his feet

• Is able to work outside pocket and throw on the run

• Is strong and stands tall while draped by defenders

• Very tough and will fight through pain and injuries

Ice water in veins; rises to occasion under pressure

Super competitive with air of confidence about him

A winner who has shown a ability to elevate teams

Still has a ton of upside and sky might be the limit

Weaknesses:

Product of system where he made one read then ran

Didn't really read coverages / go through progressions

Raw footwork and operated primarily out of shotgun

A tendency to get sloppy with mechanics at times

Touch, timing and anticipation are all merely average

Marginal accuracy and struggles with the deep ball

Debatable instincts, awareness, vision, intelligence

Work ethic, leadership, maturity are question marks

Durability could be a problem due to his style of play

Concerns about where football is in list of priorities

Multiple off-the-field issues that must be investigated

Doesn't have as much experience as you would prefer

Notes:

Was just a one-year starter for the Tigers --- Won the Heisman Trophy in 2010 --- Garnered 1st Team All-American honors in 2010 --- Named 1st Team All-SEC in 2010 --- The Walter Camp National Player of the Year in 2010 --- Won the Maxwell Award as the best football player in the United States in 2010 --- Won the Davey O'Brien and Manning Awards as the nation's top quarterback in 2010 --- Began college career at Florida, seeing action in a backup capacity in 2007 then redshirting in 2008 --- Arrested on felony charges of burglary, larceny and obstruction of justice after allegedly stealing a laptop computer but matter was resolved upon completion of a pretrial diversion program --- Reportedly caught cheating three times (turning in papers he didn't write) at Florida and opted to leave school as he was facing expulsion from the University --- Transferred to Blinn Junior College in Texas, where he led team to an 11-1 record and the NJCAA National Championship in 2009 --- Regarded as the #1 JUCO prospect in the country and eventually chose Auburn following a hotly contested recruiting battle --- During recruitment representatives (including his father Cecil) allegedly held a bidding war for his services, which is a major violation of NCAA rules, but Cam denied any involvement or knowledge of those activities --- Led Auburn to the BCS National Championship in 2010 --- Broke the school single-season records for rushing touchdowns, passing touchdowns, touchdowns responsible for, total offense and rushing yards by a quarterback --- Became just the third player in NCAA FBS history to total 20 rushing and 20 passing touchdowns in a single season --- Dealt with a back ailment in 2010 as well as ankle and neck issues earlier in career --- Compiled a 25-1 record as a starting quarterback in 2009 and 2010 --- Has shown a consistent pattern of behavior that leads you to believe he doesn't think the rules apply to him --- Loves the spotlight and might be more concerned with being a star, or as he put it an "Icon", than putting in the time and work it takes to be a great quarterback --- A classic Boom or Bust prospect who could either develop into a transcendent playmaker or set a franchise back years and ultimately cost a lot of people their jobs --- A rare physical specimen and dynamic talent but may lack the intangibles needed to ever maximize immense potential.
