Couldn't find the Steve Reed source article they referenced, but Rotoworld relayed a report confirming that Smith does want out and would prefer to play for the Chargers or Ravens.

Okay, the big question here is... does this move AJ Green up our draft board? Don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan of Gettis/LaFell but I'm hesitant to go into the season with our core receivers being just those guys.

I agree with you. But I would most like to get Gabbert and then actually get a decent vet that could be a 1.5. Maybe not a legit one but good enough so that the young guys dont have to carry the receiving load by themselves

I think he made it public before draft for a reason... There will be very few good FA Wrs when CBA is done. Someone will overpay... not JR... Now, I fully expect Green to be our #1 pick.

I would probably think he would want to go back to Cali where he grew up. 49ers and Raiders don't have the QB for smitty. My guess is Chargers. Eff..i hate this.

I've give you Boldin and the defense, that's about it... Flacco has got to be the most overrated QB in the NFL right now.

It's also important to remember that the window is closing quickly on the elite talent in the Ravens defense (Lewis, Reed).

Dickson is a TE who can stretch the field freeing up the middle and Flacco would be an elite QB with Boldin, Mason, Housh, Dickson, Heap and Smitty to spread the ball around to. Ray Rice taking pressure off the passing game I think speaks for itself. I don't want it to happen as Steve is one of my favorite players but it makes a whole lot of sense....

I'm surprised this hasn't happened earlier. I actually wanted Cam to play with Smitty, but if he doesn't want to be here, he was earned that much to be on a better team. I think we could get as much as a second for Smitty though..
