Dropping the team over a draft pick

If they draft this dude we gotta support him!!!!!

No matter what your personal preference on him is. He would be now one of us.

Hmmmmm what about that dude we just drafted last year... Clausen. Since we drafted Jimmy shouldn't we be hoping Cam isn't drafted and we get some pieces to help him...

Dropping the team over a draft pick...

...would be pretty silly.

I might question the wisdom of the front office if they pick a player I don't like, but then it wouldn't be the first time.

If I'm gonna stop cheering for a team, it'll take something way bigger than that.

The same goes for anybody leaving the team because we didn't draft Cam Newton.

You should probably have your hand on the "ban" button for KT when the pick is announced.

(just in case)

The fallout from Newton busting could make me stop being a fan, but not the actual pick. I don't want us to pick him. If we do, though, I'm going to root like hell for it to work out.

Not just directed at you but this is still a ridiculous mindset. You should be thinking this team is like your mom, you're stuck with the one you got no matter what, whether they're good or bad or whatever. Some people have no idea what loyalty is anymore.

People are thinking of bailing dependent on one bad pick and it could turn out to be an awesome one. But regardless, we have some b*tchmade fans. Go see Cleveland or Detroit fans to see REAL fans... They've had NOTHING in terms of success and have been around forever.

Comparing a football team to your mother is a ridiculous mindset. I'll probably always be a Panthers fan, but you have to admit they've been making it hard to stay excited lately.

Obviously it seems after reading Therealdeal's thread about what it would take for you to not be a panther fan that many on this board would quit being a fan of the panthers if we draft Cammy Cam Newton.

So man up and tell us who you are so we can plan on ignoring you if that comes to fruition.

Oh, also please stop posting starting Friday.

fug those people.

i don't want Cam, but I'll embrace him if he becomes a Panther.

that being said, I have trouble believing there are really that many people that would drop the Panthers just because we draft Cam Newton... but maybe I'm naive.

Thank you Salty. That just proves how many of our "fans" are b*tches. I'll be happy if we take Cam so they will get lost, and leave being a fan to the true die-hard fans that PULL FOR THE TEAM no matter what and not dependent on their roster or players.

F*cking pussified idiots.

are you telling me if they moved to LA or Kentucky, essentially giving the fans and the city a giant middle finger, you'd still be a "die hard?"

I sure as hell wouldn't be.

Ask George Shinn how that move to New Orleans worked out for him.
