No, i was in downtown Raleigh. But, admittedly i didnt get out and about.

that's cool. if you, or anyone, is in Raleigh and needs shown around, there is plenty to see and do. I'll put up a weekend of Raleigh to a weekend in Charlotte at any time.. holla!

and i hate to say this, every fiber of my being loathes Raleigh. I still have nightmares about 40/440. Where is your exit? How do you get to your exit? My God even Raymond Babbit would say screw it give me Judge Wapner. Been a few years so maybe its better.

I will give you that.. anyone from out of town trying to decipher 40/440 = good luck. The Outer and Inner belt line is like guessing the lottery (actually, it only takes a little glance at a map and some common sense) However, that's easy compared to how the roads change names like PanthaSan's creative ability to name his children.

I can get to Crabtree Mall, Triangle Town Center, Ulta, Wake Med, Priscilla's, and the fair ground. I'm good. Oh, and the Melting Pot.

Anywhere else I want to go in Raleigh, I make my husband drive.

Uptown Charlotte is great. Years ago it used to be dead after 5:00 but this is certainly no longer true with 2 stadiums a bunch of new restaurants and lots of lofts and such.

the burbs are the burbs who cares. But we do have 2 lakes nearby.

there's TONS to do here, so if anyone says different it's cuz they never go anywhere
