I thought my comment saying we only run 5 plays and possession football only works when you can score and stop the opponent pretty much covered the coaching topic. I honestly don't blame JR except for the fact he should have cut the cord with Fox sooner. I am a JR fan because he is a handshake my word is all you need kind of guy. Tough for me to jump on him for doing what I respect most about him.

I think the lack of emphasis on the QB position and offense in general is what has hurt this franchise the most. After the Arizona game especially when the FO buried their heads in the sand about the team's problems.

It started with blind loyalty to Jake and Peppers. Business is business. In my opinion, Hurney has sucked over the past 3 years.

Never addressing the QB position is what has crippled this franchise, but there are some other choices that have been made that flat out sucked.

I am going off the top of my head here, and I am sure that we can think of some more:

Cap trouble from trying to keep Peppers when he didn't want to be here, made us sign Jake to an extension that had heads rolling all over the place.

Hurney's inability to draft well at all.

Two LB's and Two RB's in the first round in a 4 year span....not too smart.

Shipping Jenkins turned out to be a very good move. He has barely played for the Jets. But not getting a replacement for him has been a problem.

Only half hearted attempts to address the QB situation is the major issue, but until last year, drafting receivers more for their blocking ability than speed and catching the ball has been a problem as well.
