What about Peppers has ever led folks to believe he'd be a cancer in the locker room? He's never bad mouthed anybody. He didn't rip on the organization, coaches or players. He didn't blame anyone for making him want to leave. Somehow not wanting to be a Panther = an insult to some of you.

Thank God there is another fan out there who is wondering where all this Peppers hate is coming from.

I'll ask the same question here as in the other thread.

Would you rather...

- Accept less than ideal trade compensation just to get rid of him

- Hold on to him until someone knocks your socks off with an offer

Scenario one means you might not get fair market value for him, but at least he'd be gone and you could move on with whatever you did get (and the cap space).

Scenario two means you don't get taken by a bad deal, but you might wind up with no deal at all, in which case he has to play out the season and you pay him a cap eating figure.

Which route would you rather the team go?

i'll take option A. Peppers staying here would be bad not only from a money stand point, but also from a locker-room stand point.

How is a team supposed to focus, when knowing that one player (who doesn't want to be here) is making near 17 million. I think it would be detrimental to the team to keep him here.

Yeah, we really have the position on Peppers, he can't really do anything. If we don't trade him, he'll have to play and show that he's worth a big contract for either us or another team next year.
