of course he's right. All the media guys go with who's the hottest. That's why i never bought the Luck hype. You have a guy like Newton who's doing everything under the sun on the field and winning every award over Luck but they just hype the guy like he was throwing 5000 yds since his freshman year. When I saw that they had Newton going late first to second round I just stop listening. Then they tried to tell us Blaine and Locker were the best,lmao. Not only that but Kiper's Clausen love affair shouldve had him fired. Another example, what happened to Fairley? He was the top pick and now Dareus is the no brainer and fairley barlely has his foot in the top 10 , can't miss:confused:If you watch enough football anybody can be an analyst

whats so ironic, that the guy that shouldve been no.1 from the start is finally getting half the respect he deserves. Talking heads just flip flop until it fits. I knew once the college season was over who should've been the no'1. They said it was Luck then Fairley then Dareus then Gabbert then Peterson back to Dareus and now its finally Newton and still sometimes Dareus. I like to form my own opinion.:D

If I did 5-10 mock drafts I would inevitably get some of them right too. Thompson is the best drafting GM in the league right now. The analysts may sometimes guess right but that is all they are doing and that is what Thompson is saying I think.

Peter King adds a bit of a jab back at Thompson in the quote attribution.

This goes back to a point I made in a post talking about how to watch draft coverage a little while back. Specifically, that NFL GMs and personnel people really don't care what media and draft experts think.

But do you think they should or is Thompson right? And was King right to be a little snippy here?

wasn't it the media that hyped Brian Brohm to be a potential top 15 draft pick at one point? And Justin Harrell to be a first round pick?
