Docs: Can a hard hit to the tiberal tubercle cause the patellar tendon to come loose?

Took a shot a just where the tendon meets the bone (knee to metal box). Hurts like a mofo. Is there a stability test I can do to see if I do something to strain the tendon it's not going to send my kneecap to my thigh?

Bit away from my bailiwick, but testing the temporomandibular joint immediately after luxation isn't diagnostic because of stretch, swelling, pain, and minor damage.

The answer is mostly to get the H off of it, ice it, pop some NSAIDs, and re-eval in 24-48 hours for stability.
