When they announce that we are "officially" on the clock, maybe we should just let the clock run out. It would be like a fantasy draft and they would give us the top overall ranked player, whoever that would be. JR would not have to be held accountable since he did not take the pick. If the player is a success, we are happy. If they fail, we pick up a horrible free agent to try to hit a home run with.

Bad idea. It becomes a dash to the podium at that point. Say time runs out once everyone sees Denver rushes up then buffalo cincinnati and arizona. We could end up falling further than we wanted. Tho it would b foolish to fall that low, the safer bet is to just pick at 1.
