The final case for Cam Newton

I want to believe in Cam, i really do. I just can't. too many questions, too little answers. you and everyone else seem to be blinded by his 1 great year and overall athleticism. I'm not taking any of that away, because he is a freak athlete he had a great year and won the Hiesman.

1 great year in college does not make a great player in the pros.

I wish Cam the best and if we pick him, I will cheer for him. I'm just not going to be surprised if he doesn't pan out.

If we do take him, I'll hope like hell i'm wrong and he actually amounts to something.

No, drafting AJ Green would make us like the Lions... how many championships has "Megatron" helped them win?

in all fairness though, his nickname is Megatron...

That's just badass as hell. If we took PP7 we'd have to call him optimus prime, so when they played each other it would be a battle for cybertron everytime.

I just popped a boner...

Um...didn't Collins have major red flags for character issues...and McNair did not?

And it wasn't Collins talent that let us down but rather his personal issues?

So wouldn't it be more accurate to say

Newton = Collins w McNairs Legs and arm

Gabbert = McNair without black

?

My point, to a lesser extent, was that Manning was OH sooo close to being in Marino's shoes had the Bears not had been their opponent. Mark my words, Manning will not get another. That one Super Bowl will keep him from Marino's dubious distiction.

Well, at least we agree on Manning.

I think the Colts have relied too much on Manning at the expense of the rest of the team. And it certainly cost them in the playoffs.

Plus, Collins was essentially a one year wonder and then he had that one great year that shot him up, just like Cam.

Quick name me a qb not named Roethlisberger with character issues that is succesful in the nfl!

Correction, not even Ben had character issues coming out of college.

Let me re phrase that.

How did that work out for the Falcons...?

And basically just a good qb, even just good. Because I know their is not a great one.

Well, just for starters, I would say sexual abuse would top buying a stolen laptop or cheating on a test.

What do you think?
