Why do people get so angry when someone beeps?

You should drive here in Spartanburg. Black people will stop in the middle of an intersection to talk to other black people going the other way.

I used to live in Greenville (NC), and we would drive through Kinston to get to the beach, seriously some of these people would just jaywalk and just cross the street where ever and when ever they wanted to.

Kinston is a poo hole BTW.

Excuse the bluntness, but I've noticed certain trends with people driving.

Old people = extremely slow and drive tanks.

asians = speeders and impatient.

african americans= inconsiderate and usually unaware of the people around them also driving.

white people = ability varies. usually above average drivers, however, a 20 something white girl in a honda is a lethal combination.

soccer moms= distracted, too much stuff going on in her car (i.e. the GPS, radio, texting/talking on cell phones), and drive gigantic cars to corral her 3 kids. Concentrating on driving is not at the top of her to do list.

This dude on BMW was going 15mph in 35mph zone. Then he start going 5mph and when light just turn yellow he stopped but had enough time to go through plus 3 cars behind me could of gone through. I beeped at him... Well, he got pissed... This 60 year old guy jumps out of his BMW and starts going toward me like he's gonna kick my ass... When he saw me, he did 180 degree turn and went back into his car and start throwing his hands up... Is this unnecessary? Why some people get so mad?

Why do people get so angry that they feel the need to beep?

It seems like in northern and big cities honking is the norm. Here down south its looked down upon.

This. Southerners don't beep. It's rude.

I believe it was Mitch Hedberg that suggested 2 horns. One for 'hey man, the light turned green' and one for 'fug you motherfuging fug'.

I'm the world's worst for road rage... I see other vehicles as nuisances whether they are going too slow, too fast, or are basically in the same lane as I am...

I dunno what it is, but I generally just hate other vehicles...

It could be that I know that people are piloting them, and I generally hate people that I don't know on at least some level (you all are safe, for the most part)... Yeah, actually, that is probably what it is...

today we were going home and this one spot, people try to leave a gas station and go across 4 lanes instead of going to the light and being done.

so this suv is in the middle of our lane, to try and sneak over once the light turn green. my wife does her hand in the could you back up just a bit so we can go by and this dude flips out. he is with his whole family, got the tie on and just left church and is clapping is hands violently like oh yeah, you think im some serf that you just clap your hands and i respond at your beck and call?

then he backs up and as i drive by and do the both palms face down and lowering in them in the dude just calm down before you ruin yourself in front of your family on such a lovely sunday afternoon.

peoples arrogance knows no bounds at times.

    • For the silly people that worship her it will be that.  The Coleman 'legend' thing, they did that with another fairly average player that was here and I sort of mocked or questioned the 'legend' status. Instantly caught crap for insulting someone's favorite Panther. So okay, Kurt Coleman is a Legend.
    • You allow him to compete--you all are talking as if I am proposing making him the starter. Give him a new coach, new weapons, good OL, etc. and see what happens. You are saying, "Well Damn.  It did not work for 3 guys..."  Right now, our C is injured, we lost our top 2 WRs.  Better question:  If you need a QB, Why would you not take a chance on bringing in a QB who was a former first rounder, a good arm, intelligence, mobility, youth, etc.  and see how he does out of NY--with a better OL, better running game, better receivers.  I am not saying give him a 10-year contract, I am saying give him a chance. You act like there is no improvement on offense here--it was a 2 year process, and next year is year 2.  To me, how can you sit there with Bryce and an opportunity to sign a veteran QB on the cheap comes available and you say--"Not us. We're good.  We are waiting for Patrick Mahommes."  Jone's problem is obviously mental--and he has little support.  Why is this so frigging hard to comprehend.  It is called "bottom fishing" and it is better than sitting in the boat.
    • I think we're going to fall from behind quite early and be forced to abandon the run game.  3 rushes -2 yards 1 catch -10 yards
