Most of the people afraid of Cam Newton arent.

So now the people who don't want Cam are not only racist but afraid of him as well?

Damn. I have never seen a more delusional, full of poo person as yourself.

Keep it up KT. Your stupidity really amuses me.

In response to Panthers55, "most don't know" is wrong. "Nobody knows" is correct. Is Hurney willing to put his career on a guy like Cam Newton? Seriously, would you?

Would I draft Newton first, absolutely especially if I had done as much homework as the Panthers have done and still felt he was the best choice. I figure that they know more than anyone else and they will make the right choice. If they don't draft him, there was a good reason. If they do there were just as compelling reasons to pick him.

I don't think that Newton will break Hurney, if he busts. But if our defense looks like the Jets this year, all we need is a Sanchez who by all stats is not that terrrific and relies on the defense and the running game to help out a lot. With any luck Moore and Clausen play well or a veteran yet to be named in addition to Newton. I figure between everyone, we might have a Sanchez in the group.

I basically agree with this...except that drafting Cam would break Hurney in my opinion if he busts.

Bradford was a risk to me but only because I thought he might be a lemon. That is a situation like you describe where the team knows more than the fans - having checked him out with personal phsyicians, tested his arm, etc.

Stafford has turned out to be the lemon, but the few times he has been healthy he has looked much better than Bradford or Sanchez. Again, more bad luck on the Lions part than a gamble.

Cam, to me, is a gamble any way you look at it. For a guy coming off a 2-14 season though, a gamble may be worth taking for Hurney.

More of the nation is also conservative pieces of crap. If this poll was distributed in China, then Newton would be the overwhelming favorite.

What?

1) Do the Chinese even know who Cam Newton is?

and,

2) Just because other people don't agree with you don't make them "conservative pieces of crap". What day and time do we live in that you can just make blanket statements with a straight face?

Chill, Sarcasm

The poll is misleading at best, 2 states believe he will be unsuccessful. The other 48 will visit this poll again and when Cam Newton either fails or succeeds the results will change.

The above statement I posted is foolish. Anyhow the fact that 9% more of the nation think Newton will fail is unimportant. That 9% probably came from this board. Personally I prefer to look at on field performance.

If this poll was distributed on Mars, then Newton would be 100% the favorite. But since neither China nor Mars has an NFL team, both points are irrelevant.

The fact that it's an ESPN viewers poll doesn't scream Credibility. It's only slightly more credible than an ESPN employees poll.
