It is cases like this where the jury system in this country is useful. None of us could give this guy a fair trial. Certainly wouldn't get one from me. And he is actually the most protected he will be for a long time right now.

Once he gets in lockup he will be tortured...

They don't even have to convict him. Just lock him up in general public of a state penitentiary, let word out what he did, & let nature take it's course. He'd be dead within a week.

Harming a child is a big no-no in the confines of prison world. He'll get his, one way or another.

I think the girlfriend is also partly responsible for this. You cannot accept just anyone in your life when you have a child that young. This is probably why the bible suggests widows stay widows (not religious, but I've heard enough stories to give substance to that claim).

She had to know this guy was overly aggressive or lacking in self control.

I also don't feel any sympathy for the father. This is why you raise your kids and don't just knock women up and leave. Stay and protect them.

In other news, Petsmart in Ashville will have an opening on Monday.
