Clausen stopped listening to coaches

Entire career, Bro.

Clausen 60/27

Newton 30/7

And by one pass Clausen had a better attempts per interception stat than Newton. If you gave Clausen that one throw now, it would be a pick six for the other team.

And TD/Int Ratio is one of the top stats. With TD's you win, with INT's you lose. Even you should know that.

...the ratio itself is worthless. It doesn't tell you anything interesting. If you throw 5 TDs and 1 INT on 800 passes, how many games do you think you won?

Also, Newton couldn't even get on the field to do anything but run his freshman and sophmore years, so it's kind of silly to throw those in there with Clausen's...

He was playing behind a 1st round draft pick, what do you expect?

But CRA,2008 was a much different team that 2010. Just because play's worked for the 08 team, won't mean thay can just give the same play's to a much different team in 2010 and expect the same result. The 2008 team had lot's of vet player's the 2010 team did'nt have.

I'd expect for you to be bright enough to realize that he was still being coached during that time period, so trying to say that "in his career" he had better TD/INT ratio than Clausen is retarded because of the HUGE differences between the two of them in college in playing time. So no, it doesn't make a damn bit of sense to compare them that way. Either way, since all you seem to care about are stats, you should know Clausen at least put those up in college, too... but he couldn't in the pros. For all our sakes, I hope Cam Newton can do the same thing in the pros he did in college.

not like jimmy did anything near what cam did but to say Jimmy didn't play well in college is stupid... now maybe there are reasons OTHER than Jimmy for that, but still

Seems like Newton didn't listen to his coaches when they told him to take a knee....

Did he?

Peyton Manning doesn't listen to coaches sometimes. But he wins games, so it's ok.

Same thing with Newton. He's a winner. So if he jumps for a TD when he was told to kneel, well... shame on him on that one play. He shouldn't have done it, but they still won.

Clausen... he's just (as Gruden put it):

A: Undisciplined

or

B: Winging it like Ryan Leaf.
