Newton only similar to one successful QB in last 5 years..

Actually it doesn't. Stats can be made to look how you want them to. There is a difference between dual threat QB and Mobile QB. The dual threats like Cam Newton don't make it in the NFL.

Now having mobility is good, but the NFL will never change where its a league of dual threat QB's period. Pocket passers will always prevail.

Unfortunately, my board says different.

He didn't make that determination, the coaches did from the sideline. If he would have talked about what they do in cover 2, what happens if they blitz, etc it would been impressive. Mallet's was spectacular and Cam's was pretty terrible. Most high school QBs would have done a better job on the boards.

The play comes from the sideline, the coaching staff can not tell him what to do each play. He would have had to read the coverage presnap to see the single high safety. He said on the play if there two safeties back, then the play wouldn't have been run and he would have likely run the ball and in the case of a blitz there would not be a two high safety look unless its a zone blitz and his primary throw was downfield and away from that zone. That's showing good recognition of defensive coverages to me.

We're talking about chalkboard sessions, not the overall workout/interview. Just on the chalkboard

Keep dancing around it baby girl, we know what you mean.

Ok first off, it's not a chalkboard. We aren't in the 1930's anymore. Also since when did interviews and drawings earn you titles. Newsflash Newton won the championship this year, not Mallet, Gabbert, Dalton, or any other quarterback.

Go to about the 9:30 mark. Also sorry in advance, he repeats himself and pauses for a second. We can't all be perfect the The Rusty Turd.

First 39 seconds.

ok here's a quote from the guy that posted the question in his chat..from an inferior site post http://www.derp/2011/3/31/2083769/independent-scout-mike-giddings-and-advisor-to-the-panthers

nd this was then supported by Michael Lombardi of the NFL network from a ‘source inside the organization’.

Gantt said exacty “It didn’t help that he (Clausen) stopped listening to the coaches” I asked him to clarify and he said “It’s safe to say he didn’t think they were giving him good instruction”.

Sure, Hurney may have picked Clausen, but Clausen also chose to ignore Hurney’s coaches.

Still didn't answer my question. He looked terrible compared to Mallett. I've seen the video. He doesn't talk about anything complex when he does manage to spit words out of his mouth and hardly understands the question from Gruden. He doesn't talk about anything other than what happened in the play.

Mallett on the other hand could have talked for days about the play and actually looked like he knew what he was talking about not like he was just talking and hopefully Gruden would allow him to move on.

I'll pose my question again. Do you think Newton looked better than Mallett when they were dissecting plays on the white board with markers?

Mallett chose not to address the dip poo media on questions that were pure speculation and bull poo. I love the fact the kid said fug you to the media.

As for as Cam, he hasn't faced anything. I do believe he said something to the effect of 'its in the past and I am only going to talk about the future' or something like it.

Oh and as for as the Gruden thing, Cam is an idiot when it comes to mental aspect of football. Gruden just looked at him like 'you are fuging kidding me' when Cam was him hawing around.

Look I get it, you want some gimmick QB that thrilled you in college and would work in Madden. Those of us that understand football don't want him at all. The kid is going to be a huge bust in the NFL period.

Actually, Newton said something to the extint that he hears the criticism, and he uses it as ammunition. So when he is working out, playing ball, and lifting...etc, he uses the criticism, such as "one hit wonder", "bust", "can't play at the NFL level" to motivate him. This is the universal answer for the athlete and whether it's true or not does not matter, at least he said it, as where as Mallet fumbled for an answer and finally says "next question."

I answered your question perfectly but you chose to ignore it because you have this odd concept that you are above God. However, oddly enough you might be below satan. Gruden asked him to dissect the play and he did it perfectly. What more do you want. Once again, sorry he paused for a second and repeated himself. We can't all be masters on the mic and spew horse crap out of our mouth like you.

That's simplistic.

Once again, so what?

Its not a complex offense to start with. But it does show that he understands the basics in the passing game. I do tend to agree with Gruden that he does have the aptitude to pick up an NFL offense, he just needs a good offensive coaching staff to teach it to him. We seem to think we have a good offensive coaching staff, so I could see him developing into a better passer in Carolina if he's drafted here.

Do you have any other video of him breaking down plays?

don't need it....I watched him destroy the SEC and college football last year. You don't do that out of the SEC just b/c you can run.....

You are just a flat out hater at this point, willing to take anything to twist and bash. Cam is a gamble has flaws.......but you gotta take the gamble if you are Carolina. His ceiling is too great not to take the shot.

I'm inclined to agree with Skip Bayless for once that he's a medium risk but has a high upside.
