Naw the people who want CB are the biggest risk takers. Since no CB has been taken first, they have a 0% success rate.

I do see people attempting to make the arguement that cause he won't be a suh, he shouldn't go #1.

There is no doubt darius is a dominate player. Will he be as dominate as suhm who gives a fug. He's dominate enough to want to make him the center piece of any defensive line other than the lions.

I'm so tired of reading these weak ass arguements as to why we should ignore the best defensive tackle in the draft, which happens to be our biggest need.

Some people will say anything to make their guy look better.

If the panthers pick, fine......but that doesn't change the fact the darius is a beast of a defensive tackle, that would instantly improve our dline to one of the best in the league.

Let's ignore that, cause e have to get another rookie qb, as that will improve our already young qb situation, and you can only get franchise qbs in the first round. Doesn't that bullpoo ever get old?

Why wasn't Dareus being touted as a possible #1 pick from the beginning? It was only since Fairley and Daquan Bowers fell off due to injury and attitude that people even said Dareus would be the best DL. Remember about 2 months ago where those two guys were the best defensive players and Dareus was merely a top 10 pick? If you are a DL worth the #1 pick then you IMO you need to be hands down the best DL prospect in the draft and Dareus isn't even that. There are still people out there that think Fairley could be better.

Ahh, but we saw what a bad special teams can do to Rivera's own Chargers last year. Certainly we now know the value of special teams and we ought to realize how many points they can add and subtract from the game with good play... especially with the good play of a punt returner of Peterson's caliber! ;)

Why wasn't Cam Newton being touted as a possible #1 pick from the beginning? It was only since Luck didn't declare while Bowers & Fairley's draft stocks fell. Remember about 3 months ago when Luck was the best QB in college football and Cam Newton was considered to barely crack the top 10? If you are a QB worth the #1 pick, then you IMO need to be hands down the best QB prospect in the draft and Newton isn't even that. There are still people out there that think Gabbert could be better.

Because before the combine, the only people making mock drafts were speculating on what teams thought. During the combine, scouts and media folks chatted a lot and many media folks realized that Dareus wasn't some late riser, but had always been on top of the DT class.

There's even a tweet by some NFL person (maybe Schefter) that says exactly that.

Amazingly enough, we do have some talent at qb. Even if the panthers do draft a qb, moore will be the most likey starter, unless the panthers do make a move to get a mcnabb.

I will say we definately need improved play/production from the qb positio, but that doesn't make the position the biggest need to get out of the draft. You and the others have talked yourselves into it so much, that ya can't look at the draft and the team needs realistically anymore.
