DT vs QB - Bust Rate

Find me people that seriously believe Cam is not raw or is not a project.

Go!

Dude... your poll didn't say "is he a project?". So people saying he's "Raw" doesn't mean they think he's a project.

That's going to be true of just about ANYONE coming out of the draft. It's called TRANSITIONING TO THE PROS.

fugin Andrew Luck is "Raw, but has potential"

And 40 people is not EVERYONE, because saying EVERYONE... herpa derpa derpa.... is a generalization, unless you literally have 100% responses of "yes" to the question if he's a project.

And I can destroy that right now by saying if we define "project" as saying he is a multi-year bench warmer and has NO possibility to start immediately on day one, then NO, he is not a project.

It's sad that you still think that patter was a curl or hitch or whatever you want to call it.

It was 100% a wheel route (also known as chair, out-n-up, etc) where the receiver ends up streaking up the sideline.

I was wrong about the DTs. Some are very fast and others aren't.

When will you admit you don't know what you are looking at when you watch plays unfold in football games?

Oh... wait... so now it's not a curl????

YOU called it a CURL. Not me. I simply showed you that a hitch and a curl are almost the same move back towards the QB on route, the only difference major difference being the distance you run (and a hitch can jam the defender off the line before whipping back towards the QB).

:smilielol5:

You are such a tool...

"Hey guys... here's a play... it's a streaking route down field!"

<gets owned in a debate>

"No... wait... it's a curl! I was typing too fast!"

<gets owned in a debate again>

"No... wait... it's a wheel route!"

:smilielol5:

You are seriously the worst person who I've ever read posts from, who claims to have knowledge about football, and is totally clueless.

I've got work to do, so I think I'm done with this stupidity from you today.

False, there are certain players that are more polished than others.

Some need tweaking or polishing, others need to learn the basics and are considered raw/projects.

Cam is raw/project.

Luck needed minor tweaking.

Dareus needs some polishing.

Colin K is a project/raw

People use that to try and defend Cam and it's just not accurate, I'm sorry.

This offseason I've had to put more people on ignore than any other message board I've been on in a lifetime. :/

Interesting statistics. I interpreted them more so in the light of where it goes to show that there is no such thing as a sure thing, as both positions are close in boom/bust #s. I think by far though, the most damaging bust would be at QB.

What you're saying is not accurate it's your opinion just like it's my opinion that no one knows who will pan out or not. For example I could throw out Clausen and The Golden Calf of Bristol if you're an NBA fan Greg Oden/Kevin Durant. It's just a wait and see thing how quickly those "projects, polished players" will contribute to there respective teams.

I've seen polls with 250 responses. Hell... the "Which side are you on" about the lockout was almost 300 I believe.

So... no... not really.

250 would be everyone in a given day who will click an option, yet most likely rarely post.

now pertaining to what I said.. there are probly 40 people still left who CARE to have this QB debate. AND, I'd venture to say there are only about 40 people who actively post on this forum every day at a constant rate.

so...yes...really.

random thought of the day: ah, a wheel route.. I just found some awesome strats on Madden to take advantage of this route against the defense.

Make sure it's what I call a cover 3 (others refer to it as a Cover 1) which means there is one safety deep in the middle of the field and the corners also have deep third.

You want to draw the attention of the safety and the corner with vertical routes crossing their face so they turn their hips and start to run and can't get back once they realize the wheel route has turned it up field and the OLB can't run with them.

This doesn't have to be run from the "trips" formation. It can be run from a 2x2 formation and using the running back to run the wheel route and get matched up on an inside linebacker, increasing your chances of success.

Good luck sir

sounds more legit to actual football than I intended, I'll have to play around with that... If it's Man coverage, I'll throw my wheel route into motion and hike the ball. The corner can't catch up. Works every time unless there is a safety over the top.
