Is Cam Newton a star in the making or a scrub?

Interesting quote by Bill Polian! Anyone care to discredit his evaluation ability?

"There is a huge drop-off in talent below Newton because he is a unique talent." - Bill Polian

Whew! I am so glad we can agree that 100% of everything GMs say to the press can be taken at face value.

This passage from the book of Polian, chapter 3, verse 22.

If that were true, and most NFL scouts rank Gabbert higher....

If Hurney takes cameron...and when cameron proves to be a bust in 2 years...Hurney will be out and so will cameron and so will rivera. Richardson will go back to ultra-conservatism because the gamble on cameron failed and maybe even bring Fox back

This thread has nothing to do with whether or not you think he will be a star or scrub, it has to do with the article... but alas, many will continue to post as such...

I'd say it's for both.

I don't really see that. We really don't know what the scouts say to the management, we only see what decisions the management makes. Unless you are suggesting that management passes off any poor decisions on the scouts?

See above.

Of course, "the man mostly responsible" and "the man who takes the fall" often aren't the same guy.
