for what you pay netflix is very good. It will replace most of your regular tv except for the obvious like sports and news.

If there is a movie they don't have streaming, more than likely it is available through DVD. I havn't found a movie they DON'T offer..but thier streaming movies are limited though.

I currently don't have it but thinking about cutting cable totally minus the net of course. I love movies but also sports and just random stuff on the tele.

I'm thinking of cutting my Directv as well.

I got Netflix and will add Hulu Plus. I can pick up the Panthers over the air. With Hulu I can watch all the big network shows.

I have Netflix and love it, but I wouldn't necessarily prescribe it as an alternative drug for a cable addict. Decent selection of streaming movies. Awesome selection of streaming TV show seasons. I don't have any issues with their new movies. Frankly, I use Netflix less for the new movies by mail than I do for the streaming stuff.

Bottom line, I get my $10/month out of my Netflix and am very happy with the service provided.

after a long weekend running the town with some friends, we posted up on a Sunday and watched both seasons of Blue Mountain State..

That's what I remember with netflix.. but good to know on the new releases taking forever. however for $10/month, I can't imagine that being a huge downside.. although unfortunate.

seems I've come across quite a few people doing this.. not a bad idea for those hating cable prices..

If people need to rent movies as soon as they're released, why didn't the see them in the theater? :P

I love Netflix. It's great for catching up on series I've missed over the years when I've got a little bit of free time. I'm not available often enough unfortunately to sit down and see a lot of things when they come out and more so have to stumble across them via Netflix as a happy accident.

Can't beat paying less than $10/mo to stream a metric fugton of entertainment.
