Gabbert on ESPN

Sure, I'd also want to know why you have no positives of Newton, even the biggest haters of Cam have positives, you however, do not. I find that VERY hard to believe.

As usual you're wrong. I've listed numerous positives for Cam, in several threads. As a matter of fact, all my concerns with Newton reside between his ears.

Football IQ

However, this is not a Newton thread.

Did you not ask what else I'd like to complain about?

Neither does a 52% completion rate at the combine. Here are some stats for everyone:

Newton 0-0-0, 0 yards 0.00 QB rating

Gabbert 0-0-0, 0 yards 0.00 QB rating

discuss.

Gabbert had a 44.3 completion percentage on 3rd downs. For comparison:

Sam Bradford 67.2%

Mark Sanchez 63.9%

Josh Freeman 60.8%

Matthew Stafford 58.3%

Matt Ryan 53.1%

Those are all a far cry from what Gabbert put up in a pretty pass friendly offense.

Missouri being a "pass happy" offense is slightly overstated, since they actually ran the ball just under 48% of the time and scored 62% of their TDs on the ground (one of the higher percentages out there, even higher than Auburn). Certainly way pass happier than most NFL teams but the reality is that the way the team played was way different than when Chase Daniel and all his receivers were there.

edit: by no means was it a prolific offense, and by no means did Gabbert put up impressive college statistics. just saying, looking at his TD/INT is not representative of his ability to run an offense.

My only problem with Blaine is in a pass happy spread he had 16TD and 9int's.

Tony pike put up better numbers.

tbh it isn't necessarily THAT impressive, I still remember a play I fuged up in middle school that turned into a touchdown anyway, but still. was funny.

Do you remember the protections, hot routes, etc?

It's because I'm racist, I'm waiting for the next great Scottish QB.

That's my line

Scots don't rap, we River dance in kilts.

Know your tartan?

He did pass a lot, but people are acting like they never ran the ball, which is not true at all. If you don't believe me, go look. They had a ton of rushing TDs compared to the number of TDs they had, and tho their rushing game had a pretty bad average for college, they still ran a decent amount
