Or more so, spending money wisely! (for the most part). Some GMs throw around a lot of money but still get nowhere, I dont think the Panthers org. is like that at all.

rather than splurge on a guy like Haynesworth, Hurney and Richardson recognized that we have two top tier players and made sure that we either signed them or will get compensation for them

I would not call what he got a cut. He is the second highest payed LT. Now if we can just ship peppers off to the lions or Raiders for 2 fist round picks that would be great. LOL

I really have no doubt he would have become the hightest payed LT by a large margin if he hit the market. He might not have given them a huge discount, and I didn't except him to, but he got less money here than he would have in FA.
